Todd Dagres

Todd Dagres is a founder and General Partner of Spark Capital, and he has led Spark's investments in Menara Networks, Verivue, Kateeva and Intune Networks. Prior to Spark, he was a General Partner and Executive Committee Member at Battery Ventures, where his investments generated profits of over $1.1 billion. At Battery Ventures, Dagres led the Communications Investment practice while focusing on the Media, Entertainment and Communications Industries. His investments included: Akamai Technologies (NASDAQ:AKAM), Qtera (acquired by Nortel Networks), XCOM (acquired by Level 3 Communications), Redstone (acquired by Siemens), River Delta Networks (acquired by Motorola), Broadbus Technologies (acquired by Motorola), Arbor Networks and Cedar Point Communications. Three times, Dagres was named to the Forbes Midas List, which ranks top venture capitalists who have created the most wealth for their investors. Prior to Battery Ventures, he was Principal and Senior Technology Analyst at Montgomery Securities, Senior Technology Analyst and Vice President at Smith Barney/Robinson Humphrey, Vice President of Communications at the Yankee Group and Business Development Manager for Networks and Communications at Digital Equipment Corporation. James Dolce

As Chief Executive Officer, Jim Dolce is responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of Verivue. Previously, he was Executive Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations for Juniper Networks, where he led the company's global sales, marketing, customer service and partner management. He joined Juniper in July 2002 through the acquisition of Unisphere Networks, where as President and CEO he guided the growth and eventual sale of the company. Before Unisphere, he served as founder and President of Redstone Communications, which he sold to Siemens in 1999. Before Redstone he was Vice President and General Manager of the remote access business unit of Cascade Communications, now Lucent. He joined Cascade in 1996 through the acquisition of Arris Networks, another Massachusetts-based company he founded in 1995. He also founded Promptus Communications in 1989, a manufacturer of digital network access products. He received his BS in electronic computer engineering from the University of Rhode Island. [top]

Paul J. Ferri

Paul Ferri, a venture capitalist for more than 30 years, was the founding partner of Matrix Partners in 1982. Prior to Matrix, he founded Hellman Ferri Investment Associates (1977 to 1982) and was a General Partner of WestVen Management (1970 to 1978). The family of Matrix Partnerships has achieved industry record-setting returns over the last decade. In 2003, Ferri was inducted into the Private Equity Hall of Fame, citing his work "in founding and helping to build Matrix Partners into one of the most successful venture firms in the industry." In February 2001, Forbes magazine selected Ferri as one of the Top 20 Venture Investors of all time and the "Best VC in Boston." Also, in 2001, Ferri received the Massachusetts Telecommunications Council Award for "Venture Capitalist of the Year". Ferri serves or has previously served on the Boards of Directors of Airvana, Applix, ArrowPoint Communications, Ascend Communications, Atria Software, Aylus Networks, Banctec, Bytex, Cascade Communications, Codex Corporation, Empirix, Paradyne, Redstone Communications, Sonus Networks, Stratus Computer, Sycamore Networks, Veveo, VideoServer, Winphoria Networks, Xyplex and numerous other private companies. He holds an MBA from Columbia University, an MS in electrical engineering from Polytechnic Institute of New York and a BSEE degree from Cornell University. [top]

Rubin Gruber

Rubin Gruber is a Co-Founder of Verivue. He joins Verivue from softswitch pioneer Sonus Networks, where he served as founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors. Prior to establishing Sonus, he founded VideoServer, Inc. (now ezenia!), a manufacturer of videoconference network equipment. Before VideoServer, he served as Senior Vice President BBN Communications Corporation, where he introduced a new generation of packet-switching equipment. He also founded Davox, the leading supplier of outbound call-center systems and Cambridge Telecommunications (CTX), an early supplier of packet network access equipment. CTX was acquired by GTE and remains part of Sprint. Gruber was a member of the Board of Directors for the International Softswitch Consortium, now called the International Packet Communications Consortium (IPCC) and was a founding member of the International Multimedia Communications Consortium (IMTC). He holds a B.Sc. from McGill University and an MA in mathematics from Wayne State University. [top]

Anthony Maher

Anthony Maher had a long professional career at Siemens, having joined the company in 1978. Since then, he held various positions in software development and integration, system engineering, architecture and processor design both in Germany and the U.S. From October 1997 until February 2002, Maher served as a member of the Managing Board for Siemens Information and Communication Networks (ICN) Group. In this role, he was first responsible for several ICN business units and all its European business, then later also the U.S. operations. He was the founding Chairman of Mustang Ventures, a venture capital unit at Siemens for wireless and wireline businesses. He also served as Chairman of the Board of Unisphere Networks, Inc. (a Siemens-owned company), which was later acquired by Juniper Networks. Maher currently serves on the Boards of publicly traded ADVA Optical AG, Wavecom S.A. and Alvarion, Ltd., as well as privately held Xtellus and Broadlight Inc. He began his professional career with Bell Telephone Laboratories in Naperville, Illinois, contributing to hardware and software design as well as system engineering on the 4ESS. He graduated cum laude with an MS degree in Electrical Engineering and Physics from the University of Illinois in 1969. [top]

Louis A. Toth

Louis oversees the investing activities at Comcast Ventures and is responsible for evaluating investment opportunities, coordinating due diligence efforts and assisting in the negotiation and structuring of financial terms for new portfolio investments. He also works with the management of CV portfolio companies on strategic, business development and operations issues. In addition, Louis collaborates with the various business units of Comcast on issues relating to new services, technologies and start-ups. Previously, Louis worked in investment banking and at a venture capital firm focused on technology and communications services. Louis graduated with honors and holds a MBA from The Wharton School and a MA in International Studies from the Joseph H. Lauder Institute of Management & International Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. He also graduated from the Management & Technology Program at the University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Economics from The Wharton School and a BS in Materials Science & Engineering from the School of Engineering & Applied Science. Louis is involved as a Director, Board Observer or adviser for BNI Video, BroadLogic Network Technologies, ConteXtream, iControl Networks, Jingle Networks, Ortiva Wireless, RGB Networks, the KPCB sFund, Verivue Networks, and Vitrue.
