— (October 13, 2010) - As the cable engineering community gathers this month in New Orleans for the SCTE Cable-Tech Expo, attendees will be in search of solutions to address the growth in network traffic volume driven by High Definition Video on Demand, managed IP Video and other "Over The Top" (OTT) video services.
Dr. Santosh Krishnan, Vice President of Product Strategy at Verivue Inc, has been chosen by the SCTE to present his paper titled "Open Content Delivery Networks for Managed Video Delivery to Multiple Screens". The paper was jointly authored by Dr. Krishnan and Dr. Weidong Mao, Office of the CTO at Comcast.
The technical workshops at Cable-Tec Expo will be offered on Thursday, Oct. 21 and Friday, Oct. 22. Dr. Krishnan will present his paper at 9:30am on Thursday and again at 1:00pm on Friday during the workshop session titled Holistic CDNs: Expanding the Library and Devices Served under the Cable Services & Fulfillment track.
